Start with a job description and candidate resumes in PDF, DOC, or DOCX format. CVShelf extracts job-relevant evidence, scores candidates against your criteria, and explains the ranking so your team can review the shortlist.
Step 1
Open Screen CVs
In the CVShelf sidebar, click Screen CVs to open the screening workflow. The first screen starts a new job and shows the Job Details form.
Step 2
Enter the job title
Click the Job Title field labeled Enter job title and enter the role you want to screen.
Step 3
Open the job description field
Click the Enter detailed job description field below the job title so you can add the role requirements.
Step 4
Paste the job requirements
Paste the role requirements into the job description field. Include the skills, experience, and qualifications recruiters should use during screening.
Step 5
Create the job
After entering the job title and detailed job description, click Create Job to save the job and continue to the Upload CVs screen.
Step 6
Open the CV upload area
On Upload CVs, choose Advanced AI, then click the drag-and-drop area or the file selector. The screen accepts PDF and TXT files up to 2MB.
Step 7
Upload all candidate CVs
Upload the candidate files and confirm that each CV appears in the file list. The upload screen shows each filename, size, and a remove control.
Step 8
Process the CVs one by one
When all files are listed, click Process One By One to start processing. Process Multiple Together is disabled in this example.
Step 9
Wait for processing to finish
CVShelf processes the uploaded CVs in the background. The Processing CVs panel shows progress, the total file count, and when new results will appear; reload the page to see the latest results.
Step 10
Review the screening report
Open a processed candidate report to review the match score, matching and missing skills, strengths, education summary, career summary, and overall feedback.
Step 11
Open display settings
On the completed job, click the gear icon beside the created date to open Display Settings.
Step 12
Choose report sections
Use Display Settings to show or hide matching skills, missing skills, strengths, areas for improvement, overall feedback, education summary, career summary, and salary information. When ready, choose Download Report or Add More CVs.
